Polish Debut of the S-HUB in Skawina

Pevna Energy with their first Amber II chargers

We’ve recently completed the installation of the first WILLBERT S-HUB (Standalone Hub) system in Poland, located in Skawina. This site is particularly special as it is the first S-HUB in the country, and it is powered by two decentralized low voltage grid connections. This breakthrough enables high-power charging even in locations with limited grid capacity.

This installation also represents our first collaboration with Pevna Energy, a new partner who trusted WILLBERT’s technology to power their charging network. The system currently operates at 200 kW, with a scalable architecture that allows for future expansion of charging power up to 720 kW without major hardware changes once the grid connection capacity expands. It’s a true example of flexibility and forward-thinking engineering from a European manufacturer.

Freezing cold EV Klub Polska meetup

Soon after the launch, the EV Klub Polska community gathered at the site for a dedicated meetup. Despite the coldest temperatures in the region in years, EV drivers enthusiastically tested the chargers and shared positive feedback about their seamless experience. Seeing users interact with the system in real conditions was the best validation of the S-HUB’s design, efficiency, and reliability.

Charging ecosystem

At WILLBERT, we are proud to be the first to introduce this advanced charging solution to the market. The S-HUB feature is a cornerstone of our mission to build a smarter, more reliable charging ecosystem across Europe and beyond.

This charging ecosystem is powered by HAWKe, WILLBERT’s intelligent management platform consisting of multiple integrated modules. Each module focuses on a specific operational aspect of the network:

  • PayBERT ensures secure and seamless payments,
  • AdBERT manages and optimizes digital advertising displayed on the chargers,
  • BuyBERT enables on-screen purchases directly from the charging interface.

These solutions work together to create a truly connected and interactive charging environment that benefits both operators and users. We’ll share more about latest debuts and its capabilities in our upcoming materials – stay tuned!

From Futuristic to Standard: Silicon Carbide

There was a time when silicon carbide in EV charging sounded like something reserved for the future. Seven years ago, it was still considered an advanced, almost experimental semiconductor technology, discussed mainly in the context of aerospace, high-performance electronics, and
