Responsibilities

  • Conducting full company accounting in accordance with applicable accounting regulations and tax laws, including document posting and verification: Performing comprehensive company bookkeeping in compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax legislation, which involves documenting and validating financial records.
  • Responsibility for the company's accounting books and active shaping of accounting policies.
  • Preparation of financial statements, tax declarations, and information in accordance with legal requirements (Corporate Income Tax, Value Added Tax, Personal Income Tax): Compiling financial reports, tax returns, and other necessary documentation in adherence to legal regulations, such as those governing corporate income tax, value-added tax, and personal income tax.
  • Managing all accounting operations.
  • Calculation and posting of exchange rate differences: Computing and recording any discrepancies in currency exchange rates, typically encountered in international transactions, and reflecting them in financial records.
  • Supervision and control of all operations and payments within the company: Monitoring and regulating all financial transactions and disbursements occurring within the organization to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Cooperation and preparation of reports, reports, and analyses for management, banks, and external institutions: Collaborating with various stakeholders to compile and present financial reports, statements, and analyses tailored to the needs of management, banking partners, and external entities.
  • Settlement of property tax payments.
  • Calculation and posting of payroll, preparation, and submission of declarations to Social Insurance Institution (ZUS), Tax Office (US), Central Statistical Office (GUS), National Disabled Persons Rehabilitation Fund (PFRON): Computing employee wages, benefits, and deductions, and submitting the required declarations to relevant authorities such as social insurance institutions, tax offices, statistical offices, and disability rehabilitation funds.
  • Maintenance of fixed assets register and calculation of depreciation: Keeping an updated record of the company's fixed assets and determining the depreciation expenses associated with these assets over their useful life.
  • Responsibility for the development and updating of the chart of accounts in accordance with company reporting standards, controlling requirements, and tax law: Ensuring the accuracy and relevance of the company's chart of accounts by aligning it with internal reporting standards, control procedures, and tax regulations.
  • Continuous professional development – analysis of changing legal and tax regulations: Engaging in ongoing learning and analysis of evolving laws and regulations related to finance and taxation to maintain expertise and ensure compliance.
  • Collaboration with other departments of the organization in the field of accounting: Working closely with other departments within the company to coordinate financial activities and provide accounting support as needed.

Professional experience required

  • Relevant education
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting (in independently conducting full accounting)
  • Very good knowledge of the Accounting Act, VAT Act, as well as tax law, labor law, Social Insurance Institution (ZUS), Personal Income Tax (PIT)
  • Ability to prepare profit and loss account in comparative and calculative variants
  • Accounting experience in a manufacturing company
  • Fluent English

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of accounting software
  • Familiarity with Notion, Slack, Google Suite will be an additional asset

  • Experience in taking over accounting books from an accounting office and supporting the implementation of a new program will be a significant advantage
